Erich Siebel Medallion

- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Cetin Morris Sonsino, Fraunhofer LBF Darmstadt, was awarded the Erich Siebel Medallion during the 37th conference of the DVM Working Group Structural Durability 2010 in Munich.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr.-Ing. E.h. Erich Siebel has, as a scientist, investigated the behaviour of components and revealed new ways of their processing and application in construction. In both areas, technology owes outstanding achievements to him.
In memoriam Erich Siebel, the German Association for Materials Research and Testing and the European Research Association for Sheet Metal Working have endowed the Erich Siebel Medallion. It is awarded to personalities of science and technology who stand out due to their inventive achievements in the sense of Erich Siebel's lifetime achievment.
August Wöhler Medal

- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus-Georg Eulitz, TU Dresden, was awarded the August Wöhler Medal during the 39th conference of the DVM Working Group Structural Durability 2012 in Paderborn.
The August Woehler Medal is awarded for outstanding achievements in the field of material mechanics, dynamic strength and fracture mechanics as well as their application in operational use.
It is not meant to appreciate single works but accomplishments which have been made in order to solve an issue during a longer period at a high level. Special emphasis is placed on practical use.
Awards of the August Wöhler Medal
DVM Badge of Honour in Gold

- Dipl.-Ing. Klaus Steinel, ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Schweinfurt, was awarded the DVM Badge of Honour in Gold during the 39th conference of the DVM Working Group Structural Durability 2012 in Paderborn.
The DVM Badge of Honour (Gold) is an award for engineers and scientists who are older than 40 years. It is awarded for outstanding technical and scientific achievements in the field of materials research and testing, but also due to a current occasion or a recent achievement. This is especially meant for persons whose occupational accomplishments raise hope for essential results in the future.
DVM Badge of Honour in Silver

- Dr.-Ing. Chalid el Dsoki, Fraunhofer LBF, Darmstadt, was awarded the DVM Badge of Honour (Silver) during the the DVM Day 2013 in Berlin.
The DVM Badge of Honour (Silver) is an award for engineers and scientists who are under 40 years of age. DVM Junior Award

- Dipl.-Ing. Victoria Brinnel, Department of Ferrous Metallurgy, RWTH Aachen University, received the DVM Junior Award at the 45th conference of the DVM Working Group Fracture Mechanics 2013 in Berlin.
In 2011 DVM created the Junior Award which honours very young scientists. It is given at an annual meeting of a DVM Working Group for an outstanding contribution. The price intendeds not only the appreciation of this singular outstanding contribution but is as well meant to be motivation for further dedicated working in science in the future.
International Award: DVM Honorary Membership

- Professor Dr. phil. Stefanie Tschegg, née Stanzl University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, AT, was awarded the DVM Honorary Membership during the Fifth International Conference on Very High Cycle Fatigue (VHCF5) in Berlin 2011.
Since 1987, the DVM Honorary Membership is awarded to foreign scientists for outstanding achievements concerning the technical and scientific cooperation with Germany in the field of materials research and testing. The Honrary Membership is usually awarded during an international DVM conference.
